Droxifix CV Tablet is a combination of Cefadroxil 500mg, a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, and Potassium Clavulanate 125mg, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. Cefadroxil works by disrupting bacterial cell wall synthesis, effectively killing susceptible bacteria. Clavulanate enhances the efficacy of Cefadroxil by inhibiting beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria, thus extending the antibacterial spectrum of the formulation. This synergy provides effective treatment against both gram-positive and certain gram-negative organisms, including resistant strains.

About the Product

The most commonly observed side effects include nausea, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, and skin rash. Rare but serious reactions may involve hypersensitivity, liver enzyme elevations, or antibiotic-associated colitis. Most adverse effects are mild and self-limiting.

Droxifix CV Tablet is indicated for the treatment of respiratory tract infections, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, and ENT infections caused by beta-lactamase-producing pathogens. It is especially useful in cases where resistance to cephalosporins alone is a concern.

Use this medicine only under medical supervision. Complete the full prescribed course to prevent antimicrobial resistance. Caution is advised in patients with known allergies to penicillins or cephalosporins. Dose adjustment may be necessary in patients with renal impairment.

Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
