Cildraw 10 Tablet contains Cilnidipine 10 mg, a modern calcium channel blocker (CCB) that acts on both L-type and N-type calcium channels, providing effective blood pressure control with added cardiovascular and renal protection. Cilnidipine relaxes vascular smooth muscles by inhibiting calcium influx, leading to vasodilation and reduced vascular resistance, which lowers blood pressure. Its unique dual action also helps suppress sympathetic nerve activity via N-type calcium channel blockade, reducing heart rate variability and protecting against excessive reflex tachycardia compared to older CCBs. Cilnidipine is well tolerated and offers the added advantage of reducing proteinuria, making it beneficial in hypertensive patients with chronic kidney disease or diabetes. The 10 mg dose is generally used as a starting and maintenance dose in mild to moderate hypertension, either alone or in combination with other antihypertensives.
Common side effects include headache, dizziness, flushing, ankle swelling (peripheral edema), and mild fatigue. Some patients may experience palpitations or gastrointestinal discomfort. Rarely, hypotension or gum overgrowth (gingival hyperplasia) may occur. Most side effects are mild and tend to improve with continued use or dose adjustment.

Cildraw 10 should be taken only under medical supervision. The tablet is contraindicated in patients with severe aortic stenosis, cardiogenic shock, or known hypersensitivity to Cilnidipine. Caution is advised in patients with heart failure, liver impairment, or severe hypotension. It should not be discontinued abruptly without consulting a doctor, as sudden withdrawal may cause a rebound rise in blood pressure. The medication is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation unless absolutely necessary. Alcohol intake should be limited as it may enhance the blood pressure-lowering effect and increase dizziness. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is advised to ensure optimal control and safety.
Store Cildraw 10 Tablet in a cool, dry place below 30°C, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep the medicine in its original packaging and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date mentioned on the strip.
