Virafly 25 Tablet contains Sildenafil Citrate, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It works by enhancing the effects of nitric oxide (NO), a natural chemical released during sexual stimulation, leading to relaxation of smooth muscles and increased blood flow to the penile tissue. The 25 mg dose is typically prescribed as a starting or maintenance dose for men who may be more sensitive to higher strengths, such as elderly patients or those with mild-to-moderate liver or kidney impairment. Sildenafil begins working within 30–60 minutes of ingestion and can last up to 4–6 hours, enabling improved erectile function when combined with sexual stimulation. Besides ED, Sildenafil is also used in certain cases to manage pulmonary arterial hypertension under medical supervision.

About the Product

Common side effects include headache, facial flushing, nasal congestion, dizziness, and mild indigestion. Some patients may experience visual disturbances such as blurred vision or a blue tinge. Rare but serious adverse effects include priapism (prolonged, painful erection), sudden hearing or vision loss, severe hypotension, and allergic reactions. Immediate medical attention is required for any severe or persistent side effects.

Virafly 25 Tablet is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (impotence) in adult men, helping achieve and maintain an erection sufficient for sexual activity. It may also be prescribed off-label for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) as per physician guidance.

Virafly 25 Tablet should only be taken under medical supervision and is not intended for recreational use. It is contraindicated in patients taking nitrates (such as nitroglycerin) or guanylate cyclase stimulators due to the risk of severe hypotension. Caution is required in men with heart disease, uncontrolled hypertension, severe kidney or liver impairment, or anatomical penile deformities. The drug should not be used more than once per day, and alcohol consumption should be limited as it can reduce efficacy and increase side effects. It is not recommended for use in women or individuals under 18 years of age. In case of chest pain or prolonged erection lasting more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical help.
