Omihub 40 Injection contains Omeprazole (40mg), a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to reduce excess stomach acid. It helps in protecting the stomach lining by blocking the final step of acid production in the stomach, promoting healing and relief from acid-related issues. This injectable form is especially useful for patients who cannot take oral medication due to vomiting, surgery, or critical illness.
It helps in managing acid-peptic disorders, such as severe gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, peptic ulcers, and upper gastrointestinal bleeding due to stress or NSAID use.
May cause headache, nausea, abdominal discomfort, constipation, flatulence, or dizziness. Long-term use or high doses may affect vitamin B12 absorption or bone health.
Used for the short-term treatment of conditions involving excessive stomach acid, especially in hospitalized patients. Also indicated for stress ulcer prophylaxis and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
