It works by reducing the clotting ability of the blood, which helps prevent clots from forming in the veins, lungs, heart, or brain. Doctors prescribe it to lower the risk of stroke, heart attack, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism (PE). About the Product

Nicoumalone 4 mg Tablet is a blood thinner (anticoagulant) used to prevent and treat abnormal blood clots. It works by reducing the clotting ability of the blood, which helps prevent clots from forming in the veins, lungs, heart, or brain. Doctors prescribe it to lower the risk of stroke, heart attack, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism (PE). The 4 mg strength is often used when a higher dose is needed to maintain safe and effective blood thinning levels based on blood test results.

Common side effects include easy bruising, mild bleeding (nosebleeds, gum bleeding), and dizziness. Serious but rare side effects include severe internal bleeding, black/tarry stools, vomiting blood, or sudden severe headache. Get medical help immediately if these occur.

Used to prevent and treat blood clots and reduce the risk of stroke, DVT, PE, and other clot-related heart problems.

Take Nicoumalone 4 mg Tablet exactly as directed by your doctor. Regular blood tests (PT/INR) are necessary to keep the dose safe and effective. Do not adjust the dose yourself. Avoid sudden changes in diet, especially foods rich in vitamin K (such as spinach, kale, and other green leafy vegetables), as they can affect the medicine’s action. Inform your doctor about all other medicines you are taking. This medicine should be avoided during pregnancy unless specifically prescribed.

Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep it in the original pack and out of reach of children.
