Imihype 1MG Injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic combination containing Imipenem, a carbapenem-class antibacterial, and Cilastatin, a renal dehydropeptidase-I enzyme inhibitor. Imipenem works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, making it effective against a wide range of Gram-positive, Gram-negative, and anaerobic bacteria. Cilastatin is co-administered to inhibit the renal enzyme that would otherwise inactivate Imipenem in the kidneys, thereby increasing its plasma concentration and therapeutic effectiveness. This combination is widely used in severe, life-threatening, and hospital-acquired infections where other antibiotics may be ineffective. Its potent, broad-spectrum coverage makes it particularly valuable in treating mixed infections and resistant bacterial strains.

Imihype 1MG Injection should only be administered under medical supervision, usually in a hospital setting. Dosage adjustment is necessary in patients with kidney impairment. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to carbapenems or beta-lactam antibiotics. Caution is advised in patients with a history of seizures or CNS disorders.
