Dimezeft 375 Injection combines Ceftazidime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, with Sulbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination enhances the activity of Ceftazidime by inhibiting bacterial beta-lactamase enzymes, which otherwise degrade the antibiotic. This makes Dimezeft 375 effective against a broader range of bacterial infections, including those caused by resistant organisms. The combination of Ceftazidime and Sulbactam is particularly effective in treating serious infections caused by Gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and some Gram-positive bacteria.
Dimezeft 375 is commonly used to treat infections such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, and sepsis. It is also effective in treating complicated infections in immunocompromised patients. The injection is administered intravenously or intramuscularly, ensuring rapid and targeted antibacterial action.
Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, rash, injection site reactions, and changes in liver function tests.
Used for the treatment of severe bacterial infections, including respiratory, urinary, intra-abdominal, and skin infections.
