Dimezeft S 1.5 Injection is a combination of Ceftazidime (1000mg) and Sulbactam (500mg). Ceftazidime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial death. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that enhances the activity of Ceftazidime by protecting it from bacterial enzymes that usually cause resistance.
It helps in the treatment of moderate to severe infections such as lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, septicemia, and post-operative or hospital-acquired infections, especially those caused by drug-resistant bacteria.
Common side effects include pain or redness at the injection site, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, or headache. In rare cases, allergic reactions, liver enzyme changes, or blood cell abnormalities may occur.
Indicated for the treatment of serious bacterial infections involving the lungs, urinary tract, skin, abdomen, blood, and surgical wounds. It is especially effective in infections caused by beta-lactamase-producing and resistant organisms.
To be used only under medical supervision. Inform your healthcare provider if you have any known allergies to cephalosporins or penicillin, or if you suffer from kidney disorders. Follow the complete prescribed course to ensure full recovery and prevent resistance.
Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C, protected from light. Use the reconstituted solution immediately or as directed by a healthcare professional. Keep out of reach of children.
