Zepazon 1G Injection contains Cefoperazone (1gm), a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a variety of serious bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, leading to bacterial death. Cefoperazone has a broad spectrum of activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms, and is particularly effective against infections involving the lungs, urinary tract, skin, and abdomen.
It helps in the treatment of moderate to severe infections such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections, biliary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, septicemia, and infections following surgery.
Common side effects may include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rash, or irritation at the injection site. Rarely, it may cause allergic reactions, changes in liver enzymes, or blood count abnormalities.
