Minoclub 100 Injection contains Minocycline (100mg), a broad-spectrum tetracycline-class antibiotic. Minocycline works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby preventing the growth and spread of bacteria. It is particularly effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms and is known for its good tissue penetration, including into the respiratory tract, skin, and soft tissues.
It helps in the treatment of moderate to severe infections such as respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, acne, and certain sexually transmitted infections. It is also used in hospital-acquired infections or when other antibiotics are ineffective.
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, or headache. Less commonly, it may cause photosensitivity, skin discoloration, liver enzyme changes, or hypersensitivity reactions. Long-term use can lead to overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms.
Used for the treatment of various bacterial infections including pneumonia, bronchitis, skin infections, urinary tract infections, and acne. Also indicated in infections caused by drug-resistant organisms and for diseases like leptospirosis, chlamydia, and rickettsial infections.
Should be used only under the guidance of a healthcare professional. Not recommended in children below 8 years or in pregnant/breastfeeding women due to risk of permanent teeth discoloration and bone development effects. Complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Use reconstituted solution immediately or as per medical instructions. Keep out of reach of children.
